AP SIG Prepares for Open World in October 2017

The Oracle AP SIG is preparing for Collaborate 2016 in Las Vegas!!  This year's event promises to be exciting as the AP SIG will discuss the impact of cloud applications, -- Oracle Fusion -- on the corporate IT environment.  What specifically does cloud applications add to the mix?

AP SIG TOPICS OF INTEREST:

  1. Shared Service Centers and the technology required to implement them. This topic area focuses on the use of Oracle R12/ Fusion applications to create and manage Shared Service Centers. Shared Service centers can be co-locational, in which members of the shared services team physically sit in the same area and provide services to other groups in the company, or the Shared Service center can be a virtual shared services team, in which the team members are distributed georgraphically by provide centralized services to other groups in the larger organization.
  2. Payments technology, including advanced payment formats and payment-enabling technologies. This topic includes discussion around the European Union Special Payments Area (SEPA), and the payment-delivery technologies that have emerged in the last few years. SEPA payments are Euro-denominated payments made to a vendor using a specific payment format that includes a IBAN number. Payment-delivery technogies include a discussion of technical modifications made by the larger money-center global banks to support global payments.
  3. Invoice workflow approval and processing technologies. This topic includes workflow and the use of workflow to route AP invoices for approval. All invoice capture and processing technologies are included within this general umbrella.
